ALUCAM
Compagnie Camerounaise de l’Aluminium
Former names : ALUCAM, Aluminium du Cameroun
ALUCAM operates the Édéa aluminium smelter, born in 1954 as a joint venture between Pechiney and the Cameroonian State, later controlled by Alcan and then Rio Tinto before Rio Tinto's 2014 exit. The State and state-linked investors (including SNI) now hold the majority. The smelter has been in serious financial distress since 2025.
