HYSACAM is Cameroon's dominant private waste-collection and urban-sanitation operator, working under municipal contracts. Founded in 1969 as a subsidiary of French group Grandjouan, it was bought out in 1994 by a group of Cameroonian engineers led by Michel Ngapanoun, and has since been fully Cameroonian-owned.
