PAMOL is a majority state-owned agro-industrial company producing palm oil and rubber in the Southwest Region, descended from a former Unilever subsidiary nationalised in the 1990s. It remains an operating company in chronic financial distress, propped up by successive recovery plans rather than closed or fully privatised.
