Limbe deep seaport project
A long-discussed (about 15 years) deep-sea port project for Limbe, separate from the Douala and Kribi ports. A planned memorandum of understanding with Turkish firm Yenigün was postponed indefinitely in mid-2025; by July 2026 the government was in preliminary talks with Terminal Investment Limited (TIL), MSC's terminal arm. No construction contract or financing has been finalised.
