Entrance Examination into Form One (Sixième)

The entrance examination into Form One (the "concours d’entrée en sixième") selects, among CM2 pupils, those admitted into general secondary school or the first year of technical education. It is held on the same day nationwide and, together with the CEP, gates entry into secondary school.

CM2 pupils enrolled in a francophone-subsystem primary school may sit it; the number of places offered in public schools is limited and set each year.
