Anyone who wants to drive a motor vehicle on public roads. The usual categories are A (motorcycles), B (light vehicles), C (heavy goods vehicles), D (passenger transport) and E (trailers); the minimum age depends on the category.
Steps
- Enrol at a driving school approved by the Ministry of Transport, which assembles your application file and provides the theory (highway code) and practical training.
- The driving school presents you at the examination session organised by the regional delegation of Transport: a theory test, then a driving test.
- If you pass, the licence is issued by the Ministry of Transport and handed over by the driving school or the delegation, depending on the region.
