Registering to vote
Registration is done at the council branches of Elections Cameroon (ELECAM), on presentation of the national identity card, during the annual revision period of the electoral rolls.

Who it concerns
Every Cameroonian aged 20 or over who enjoys civic and political rights and is not disqualified by law. Cameroonians abroad register with diplomatic and consular missions.
Documents to provide
- a valid national identity card (or the application receipt under the conditions ELECAM accepts);
- proof of residence in the council of registration, where applicable.
Steps
- Go to the ELECAM council branch of your place of residence during the annual revision of the electoral rolls, which opens on 1 January and closes on 31 August each year (law no. 2012/001 of 19 April 2012 on the Electoral Code).
- The ELECAM officer records your biometric data and gives you a registration receipt.
- Collect your voter's card at the branch or at the polling station during the distribution operations announced by ELECAM.
Cost
Registration and the voter's card are free.
