League of Nations mandates over French Cameroun and the British Cameroons

On 20 July 1922, the League of Nations formally entrusted France and the United Kingdom with Class B mandates over their respective shares of the former German Kamerun, to be administered in the interest of the local populations. This gave rise to French Cameroun and the British Cameroons, the latter divided into Northern and Southern Cameroons.
