Tikar migrations into the Grassfields
According to oral tradition, the Tikar dynasty settled in Adamawa broke apart after the death of its last ruler, Ndéh, around the fourteenth century. Several waves of migration led by his descendants then reached the western and north-western highlands, where they founded separate kingdoms.
